1/4 Cup Water | 2 1-Oz Squares Unsweetened Baking Chocolate |
2 Tablespoons Butter | 2 Cups Confectioner's Sugar, Sifted |
1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla |
Heat water, butter, vanilla and chocolate. Add confectioner's sugar and beat well. Works best if you dip tops of cupcakes in glaze rather than trying to use a utensil to spread glaze.
1953 Recipe - Maxine Brown
"From our Fudge Cupcake recipe. Good on Banana Cupcakes too. It was our favorite chocolate frosting up until discovering the Chocolate Ganache, but it has the advantage of not having to be prepared in advance." - Calla Ferre
"The best way to frost cupcakes with this icing is to dip the tops in. You get a nice smooth, even coat with a glossy finish. This glaze would be wonderful for Donuts as well." - April Ferre
