"I took an adult education class I saw advertised in a newspaper in 1989 from Julia Cheng, shortly before my trip to Hong Kong. Her husband was a dentist, but her cooking classes did so well that he quit his practice and helped his wife with the classes. We worked together in groups, and the class was very hands on. At the end of class we got to eat everything we made. And we made the boys bring wine to accompany the meal. I also bought my wok from her, and a wok for my daughter Calla. I was invited to her house to pick them up, and she had some of the most lovely Chinese art." - Jean Hansen
