1 10-Oz Package -About 40 Regular, 1/4 Cup Butter -Or 4 Cups Miniature Marshmellows 5 To 6 Cups Rice Krispies Cereal
Stove Top Directions: Melt butter in large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmellows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat. Add Rice Krispies Cereal and stir until well coated. Press warm mixture into buttered 9x13 inch pan. Cut into squares when cool. Makes 24 2- inch squares.
Microwave Directions. Combine butter and marshmellows and microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir ingredients to blend and microwave an additional minute. Stir. Add Rice Krispies Cereal and stir until cereal is well coated. Press into 9x13 inch pan. Cut into squares when cool. Makes 24 2-inch squares.
Substitution: About 2 Cups Marshmellow Creme may be substituted for marshmellows, but best when made from fresh marshmellows. Add to melted butter and cook over low heat about 5 minutes, stirring constantly, and then proceed as directed above.
